&&&Chouette Night$$$

Calling all chouette players.  I'm going to resurrect Chouette Night on a trial basis - depending on the turn out it may be something that becomes a regular event once or twice a month again.

Please note that Chouettes are a form of playing backgammon in a group, with money involved.  You don't need to know how it works but you do need to have a basic understanding of how to play backgammon with the CUBE. You can learn the rest as you go.  It's a fun and very social, high energy format to play backgammon, and a great way to gain experience with the cube and other aspects, by learning from your team mates.

The goal will be to have two chouettes of 3 to 6 players each, one low stakes (25 or 50 cents a point) and one higher stakes (whatever that group agrees to).

This location is a nice, quiet but cool venue, they encourage games there and have a shelf full of them, and want our business.  In return, please be prepared to buy at least a beer or drink, possibly something to gnosh on.

Their specialty is beer, English gastropub stuff, sausages including vegetarian etc.

    Hi Mikael, I'm definitely planning on scheduling some more but want to set up the next chouettes in Bryant Park on a weekend - such as 2pm on a Sunday and going all day, but first those scattered thunderstorms have to stop ruining our summer.

    Is there going to be another chouette night?

    I so enjoy a good chouette. The guys who played last night were largely in their first chouette.
    I saw most people having a good time. Just wish we could attract a three/four person $3-5 a point game.

    I thank Julia for her efforts in setting up a Chouette meetup,again. I enjoyed teaching and playing Chouette with new and old (Robert-lol) players. I look forward to playing in some more Chouettes on Tues nite.
    Overall, I would prefer playing in a different venue- too out of the way(far from train), too dark and cramped quarters, and menu selection, somewhat limited.

    A first time for me.
    I loved the Chouette rule, which give a lot of opportunity to "social" play and learn from better players.
    I didn't play or talk to everyone, but I had good contact and fun with my partners.
    Thank you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
