Hi all! I'll be leading a ride this Sunday, Dec 6 at noon, starting at Columbus Circle and proceeding to make the big loop around Central Park. Afterwards we will stop for lunch at Danku, a new eco-friendly spot on 57th Street. Danku is Dutch-themed too, perfect for us cyclists!

This ride is the New York portion of a much larger global bike ride, the Ride Planet Earth project, started by Kim Nguyen in Aug 2008. Since then, Kim has been cycling from Australia to Denmark in anticipation of next week's UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. On Sunday, the day before the talks begin, cyclists and environmentalists around the world will ride their bicycles concurrently with Kim to promote transportation behavior change and to raise awareness about the current effect climate change is having on communities in the non-industrialized world.
