    Sorry I can't make it.

I will be at the start, rain or shine. If there is a torrential downpour with lightning and thunder, we may cancel it. If it's just sprinkles or the occasional summer shower, the ride goes on. Dress appropriately.

With stops for discussions, lunch in LIC, and accounting for the variance in riding speeds of all the participants, it will likely be an all day affair. I expect to get back to GAP by 5pm at the latest. Hopefully much sooner than that, but only if everyone pedals rather than coasts and doesn't dilly dally too much... :) However, this is an excursion, not a race, so the idea is to see the sights, explore the art, have good conversation, meet some new people, discover the city in a way you maybe hadn't before and, oh yeah, eat lunch.

What time we'll finish this ride??

Also, because someone else asked, moderate pace means anywhere from 10-15 average with stops at the major graffiti spots in Gowanus, Bowery, Williamsburg, Bushwick, LIC (lunch stop), and Astoria then a straight shot back to GAP. We'll do a point, drop, sweep with me as leader, a rider posted at each turn as we go along to guide the way, and my co-leader as a sweep to pick up the drops and make sure any stragglers are swept into the ride.

The start is just across the street from the arches, just outside the park, where the food trucks and farmers market usually sets up. You'll see a bunch of cyclists gathering and that'll be us!

Hello, so are we meeting at the Grand Army Plaza where the arch is? I clicked on the map and it's like 8 blocks to the east of the plaza.
