Sadly, they have nasty burly people with suits and earpieces in their ears in the finest tradition of the secret service (or some other ss appellation) that will toss u into the east river at checkpoints, the first of which, if i recall correctly, is b4 the 59th st bridge. i have a friend who might not be able to go, so send me contact info and i might be able to get u his bib.

unrelated, but since it's message the whole group day, wanted to ask if
anyone is doing the 5 boro bike tour, and if anyone has done it before
without a bib and how successful that was for them? it sold out too fast
for me, but i've heard that with 30K riders, no one is super picky about the
bibs and stuff.
and if anyone else is doing it, we could perhaps have a mini-meetup?
