People, I need to put this out there and make it clear. We only allow bicycles with two standard size wheels (20" 24" 26" 27" 650c 700c) that must be ENTIRELY HUMAN POWERED on our rides. We do not allow any type of electric or gas-assisted equipment, recumbents AKA 'bents', Penny-farthings, or unicycles on our rides. If you show up with one of these things on our ride, you will not be able to join it, and your membership revoked. There are other groups who are devoted to these types of equipment, so please join them instead.

Why? Because we have to ride through tight city streets and bike/pedestrian paths, sometimes portage our bikes through natural and urban structures and obstructions, through public transportation, and consider safety and well-being of the group over individual quirks and "independent thinking." Not to mention, putting a motor on a bicycle makes it not a bicycle, but a really slow motorcycle.
