“ I think this group needs critical mass. At Neutral Ground, you won't draw as many women (or guys who are afraid of geekdom), so the numbers will stay low. If the numbers stay low, only one or two games will be played, and if people don't like those games, they won't come back. With a better venue, more people will show and there will be a larger variety of games to play, and that in turn will mean more people get to play what they want and will want to come to more meetups. A boardgame meetup is a fantastic idea and definitely should continue. ”
