Free Fencing Tuesday

Thanks to the Beacon program at PS 198 we can have fencing classes without paying rent

We will have the gym to ourselves, but the gym floor is kind of slippery. Bring sticky shoes if you can.

There are locker rooms where people can change

You probably won't be able to enter the building without photo id.

There may be children in the class.

We do not have storage space on site, so there will not be much equipment to lend.  It's best if you bring your own gear.

The school is located at 1700 Third Ave. between 95th and 96th Streets.

    Hi MIke,

I can't hold a pencil and am scheduled for carpal tunnel surgery on 2/14, but may come to work on footwork.

We don't have a lot of equipment to lend on Tuesdays, since the school doesn't give us any storage space. But we can show you some of the basics. If you want to continue, you'll need to either buy your own equipment or come to Saturday sessions.
Wear clothes that don't restrict your movement, and shoes that have good traction on smooth wood.
