I received the following facebook invitation from Patrick Durkan, coach of the
New York Athletic Club's fencing team. I've only met him once, but he seems
like a nice enough guy (for a sabre fencer), and he's devoted to the sport of
fencing. He's holding a fund raiser for his fencing school, and it seemed like
a good place to have a social fencing meetup.

I'm scheduling it as a calendar "note" rather than a typical meetup. If you cc

More InfoThe American Fencing Academy is hosting its first fundraiser September
22nd @ 7PM at the Bar East Ale House. Four of our top female fencers will be
invited to compete for a cash prize. The proceeds will be donated to the
National Kidney Foundation and the American Fencing Academy Foundation.
Come root for our fencers and have some drinks with our team! ALL YOU CAN DRINK
well and domestic beer from 7pm ��� 8pm!
