We're continuing our free fencing in central park series, in spite of the fact that the neat place that we had marked out for ourselves has been roped off due to re-seeding. Currently we've scheduled every other Saturday at 11am (including 6/16), but if there is demand, we will try to do it more often. Check with the calendar at http://www.meetup.com/nyc-fencing/events/calendar/
So we've gone ahead and found ourselves another neat place to fence. It's under the trees to shade us from the sun, and it's not an overly popular spot where we will be crowded by other park goers.
If you enter the park at 63rd and Central Park West opposite the
Ethical Culture School, and follow the paved path in a wide arc to your left, you'll find us.
Just in case you don't remember me or the fencing meetup, this is Olympic style fencing with a variety of skill levels. It's mostly foil, some epee and an occasional saber, but as long as you're willing to put up with my relatively poor skills I'll give any weapon a try. We welcome newcomers and have some equipment to lend. Call or write me for more info, or see this listing:
I look forward to fencing you.
