Writing group meeting in Morningside Heights

  • Jul 21, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We'll be meeting at the home of one of our newer members. (FYI: there are no pets, there's WiFi, and it's not wheelchair accessible, only because there's one step to get into the building.) The day before the meeting, I'll send more info including the address to members who RSVP.

Hi. I'd like to join tonight. Would someone please text me the address? My cell is[masked]-2068. Thanks!

      I'll be in touch in just a moment . . .

And sorry for delay in request. I thought that I had RSVP'd already.

I'm crossing my fingers that I'll make this. My 13-year-old has a dentist appointment that may keep me tethered to the other side of the Hudson. But you know, Ever optimistic.

I can work with these odds/circumstances.

How does your writing group work? Does everyone read something for comments? If so, how many pages?

The best way for me to answer might be to direct you to the group's description (under the "about us" link) because there's lots of info there, but basically we write for an hour and then take voluntary turns reading our work aloud for five minutes or less.

Is lateness acceptable? I usually don't finish with work until 7-8pm, but I don't work too far away and could dash over right afterwards.

    • Zack

Totally acceptable. People often trickle in during the writing hour (7:30 to 8:30pm), so don't worry about it. Just try to enter quietly and join us.
