Flatiron School Presents Octomaps

Every week during the Flatiron School semester, 3 students will present a 20 minute talk and then we'll have an hour of networking and discussiong. Every Thursday from 7pm-9pm!

This week we have Justin, Masha, and John presenting their project Octomaps! Ever wonder just how international an open source project is? We all know that software is a global craft and the code we write transends borders and nationality. We thought we'd prove it by taking a project's commiters and mapping them. We'll demo the project and talk about how we built it.

See you Thursday!

PS - We are only charging $1 to ensure that RSVPs are somewhat meaningful. All proceeds will be donated to an open source project or Wikipedia. Feel free to just show up too.

One of the better meet ups for new coders who got into coding to build cool things. There was networking, which was cool, and a presentation. The presentation wasn't about customer acquisition, but more about the development process behind the website. Who did what, and how. The code was explained as well and it was really enlightening and motivational.

I'd love it if you folks could move your presentations from Thursday to Fridays - They conflict with other Thursday Meetups I want to go to, and I have to make a choice :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
