Every week during the Flatiron School semester, 2 students will present a 30 minute talk and then we'll have an hour of networking and discussiong. Every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm!
The talks will range from how to configure your development environment and use dotfiles to using http streams and pushing data. They will be fast and focused.
Akiva Leeder - Syntactic Sugar and Vinegar in Ruby
As Rubyists, we care about the aesthetics of our code. In fact, an appreciation of aesthetics is built into the language itself. We'll look at examples of syntactic sugar and how they encourage good design patterns. Additionally, we'll look at some syntactic vinegar Ruby provides to keep you from doing something stupid.
