Good morning. I want to alert the Ruby community to a couple of new roles we've had come in this week that we're pretty excited about. To start with, I work for a 36 year old recruiting firm named Winter, Wyman & Co. as a Partner in our NY Technology Office. I've been with our firm for the past 11 years with a focus on the technology markets.
These new roles come to us from an innovative technology firm headquartered in the city. We've had a strong partnership with the senior management team for the past 18 months. They called earlier this week to provide the details of their latest hiring needs. The first role will be their first VP of Software Development. This is a new hire for them, adding a necessary person to the team as their CTO focuses on other responsibilities. You will oversee a current team of 7 Ruby developers and be asked to provide guidance related to design and architecture challenges. Given the smaller size of this firm, it's also likely that you'll be asked to do some coding to augment the efforts of the team. The ideal candidate will have formal management experience associated with a commercial Ruby deployment effort. Salary is open to a cap of about 150K and equity will be included in the package.
The second opening is a Sr. Ruby Developer position on the aforementioned team. We're hoping to find someone with 2+ years commercial Ruby experience.
I would welcome the opportunity to chat in more detail about our client and these needs in more detail. We're excited about the future of this firm given the business they're in, the original backing they received from a well known corporation, and the recent funding they announced just last month. My contact information is listed below. I encourage anyone interested in more details to review my LinkedIn recommendations for a snapshot of our services and my approach.
