“ It seemed like there were a lot of knowledgeable folks who attended. It seems like a good place to put out ideas and get constructive criticism. ”
— A former member on Aug 14, 2007.
“ quite a wide variety of skills/interests, which is good for variety but made for a slight lack of focus in the discussions. A sharper agenda would be good; ie, this meetup will focus on the use of color, this one on css tricks, etc... rather than wide-open presentations of site redesigns. Although this was a short meeting; a wider discussion would have worked better with more time. All in all, very useful. ”
— gabriel friedman on Aug 13, 2007.
“ It has promise and I will continue to attend as many meetings as I can. Too early to tell if this is a group that I'll want to stay with. But I sure will keep an open mind. ”

“ I like the spirit of cooperation. It's a relief to get a quick gut check on some issues I've been grappling with from someone who has had experience with certain areas. Casual enough for open dialogue, and professional enough to respect the feedback of your peers. ”
— Vaughn on Feb 11, 2005.
“ The people were superb! Good start for the group...very social. ”
— A former member on Jan 13, 2005.
“ I would like to be able to touch base with larger developer firms. I am also intereted in hearing more about particular projects that are being done for clients. What work is being done out in the city. What are the clients paying for? What work is being requested? What industries are using the services of the designers. ”
—A former member on Apr 21, 2006.
“ Maybe we should decide what subjects we will cover for the next meeting at the end of each meeting. To me the most logical thing to go through is what makes a good website and some of the principles of good web design. Maybe we can discuss particular problems people have with their web sites or a site they are creating for a client or if they have seen a site and want to know "how they do that". ”
— charmian on Apr 21, 2006.
“ This time we did not have any phony participants. That is we did not have anyone pretending to be interested in wed design to get into the meeting only to find out they have no interest at all in the subject and they really just want to find a web designer to work on the cheap. For any participants who want to come to this meeting in the hopes of finding a web designer to work for you for peanuts, my request is that you please stay away. Your purpose and your goals for being at the meeting just puts a drag on the whole event, at least that’s how I feel. ”
— John Uske on Apr 22, 2006.
“ This is a unique opportunity to learn from fellow designers and developers in a non-competitive space. ”
— Edwin Rogers on May 13, 2008.
