Saturday's outreach was rained out. So Penelo Pea Pod took everyone to lunch. Oh well.

NYC's Little Italy Feast of San Gennaro is one of the best places to do veg'n outreach.

People there (despite the many food stands selling pork sausage sandwiches) are surprisingly open to our vegan message. All you can figure is that the people attending this street fair are interested in food; they came to The Feast to eat, didn't they?

      “ The event was awesome. Too bad vegans don't want to stand shoulder to shoulder with us vegan advocates. We had no strength in numbers, so the NYPD just kicked us out, denying us our Constitutional rights to assembly. Until vegans come out to advocate for the virtues of the vegan lifestyle, the blood is on our hands. You can blame the vegans as any others for farmed animal cruelty, polluted environment, global warming...It goes on and on. We vegans must get into the streets, into the faces of those meat eaters. They're crapping on us. Doesn't that make anyone (any vegans) mad. Go to http://www.vivave... . After October 6, look for a Podcast by the Hard News Vegan, Pamela Rice herself, about this event. Where are the activists? Where are the activists. We used to have 'em in the '60s. I blame the young people making love to their faces all day. They have the energy. Why aren't they out there protesting? This event had only 2 people, both over the age of 50. It's pathetic. ”
