NYC Urban Professionals Meetup Alliance Giving Back Bowl-a-Thon!

Our Meetup group will be joining several other Meetup groups, Web Blogs, Facebook Groups and other web based social networking sites, as we raise funds for the children programs of Junior Achievement. Check the list below for participating groups, as more groups join us in this effort:

Since our great Meetup community is so diverse, I know many of you may be members of multiple Meetup groups as well. It doesn't matter which group you decide to register with and play with for the event. We are all for the same great cause! :)

Please note:

• Remember, you have a personal committment to raise a minimum of $175 as a team member for the cause. FYI, all fundraising and collection of funds will be done online. You will receive a personalized fundraising page once you register online.
  
• All fundraising is done online, and via credit and debt card donations. No cash donations are to be collected. Alll you need to do is enter the email addresses of your supporters in your personalized fundraising page and send them a note requesting their donation support.
  
• All donations go directly to the charity, and you can keep track of both your progress and your teams progress (and other teams progress as well) on the home page for the event.
  

I am also looking for 4 other members who are interested in being Team Leaders, and leading a team of 6 (including yourself) to help raise funds. If you are looking to lead a team, shoot me an email via the link below. Remember, you can either recruit fellow Meetup members, family, co-workers or friends for your team!

Each team will have their own lane, and will have a pizza, and a tower of soda and beer to drink while we laugh, mingle and bowl for the cause. There will be individual and group prizes as well for top individual and top team fundraisers.

****Remember, the event is a fundraiser for charity, so only those participating as team members or team leaders should RSVP and attend, as your names will be on a guestlist at the welcoming table for admission to the event.****

Directions:
Leisure Time Bowl is located inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal

From 8th Avenue enter the Port Authority between 40th & 41st Streets
Walk straight until you see an escalator on the left
Take the escalator up
Turn to your right and you will see the entrance to the bowling alley at the end of the hallway

If you use a different entrance, just follow signs to gate 230 The following subway lines service the Port Authority: A,C,E to 42nd Street.
The 1,2,3,7,N,R and S to Times Square-42nd Street which brings you to 7th Ave which is one avenue away. Bus Service: M10, M11, M16, M27, M42, M104
