Members, I thought it would be a great idea for all those interested to Meetup together and attend the 2009 Big Apple BBQ/Block Party together this year! The event stretches 3 city blocks that make up Madison Square Park, and is a huge city social. A GREAT way to kick of the summer!

It's a free admission event, and there will be seminars, music and of course great food for purchase ($8 per plate) from the best BBQ Pitmasters in the country!

You can either decide to meet up with the group and hang out with us, or venture out into the event solo. Either way, you are sure to have a great time mingling with fellow New Yorkers, while enjoying the smells, sights and tastes of great BBQ! :)

***Note: We will meet up at 12 noon in front of the Metropolitan Life Building, which is located right outside the perimeter of the Park, near the intersection of East 23rd Street and Madison Avenue. The closest subway there is the 6 Train, but the N,R,F,V are only another block or so away. We will wait for anyone running late until about 12:15pm, while we meet and greet. Then it's off to enjoy the food, music and crowd! :)***

    it was crowded and Ididn't see anyone in the group but it was ok for what it was. They had some great music though. The pittmasters represented yesterday
