Touch is a spacious venue (2 rooms, with a balcony level), so there is plenty of room to walk around the very attractive space, while mingling with not only other Group members within our VIP section, but with other Latino and Black professionals throughout the rest of the club.

Doors open at 5pm, and the Meetup gathering will last officially until 8pm. However, all members and their guests are welcome to hang out and dance the rest of the night away, as the venue does not close until 4am! :)

We will be sitting in our own VIP section in the club. This will be our "home base" for the evening, but we are free to mingle throughout the rest of the venue.
Again, do not be afraid to dance, or be asked to dance :). If you are a new member, or generally shy, this is a great mixer event. As per most of our dance events, this event is definitely more geared toward those members that need to unwind and have a great time, while still mingling with fellow urban professionals.

Derek Jeter Sports Club Website Link: New Downtown Location

The Derek Jeter Workout

We have been extended an invitation to attend the grand opening tomorrow of Derek Jeter's newest gym location with 24 Hour Fitness, in Downtown Manhattan!

The event is tomorrow, from 4pm-8pm, so you may attend anytime between those hours afterwork tomorrow.

There will be prizes and giveaways each hours as well, as well as raffles for additional prizes!

In addition, all group members (and any guests you may invite) will receive a 2 Week Free Trial Membership to try out the gym!!! The trial is for 1 week for the general public, but is being extended to 2 weeks for our Meetup members and friends/family/guests!!!

If you plan on attending, call Luke Lindsay @ 212-918-9811, and let him know you are a member of the Meetup group. He will schedule your preferred appointment time between 4pm-8pm. He is the Member Services Manager, and will be the host for any members attending tomorrow. He will also be the one to give you the 2 week trial membership when you arrive at the gym.

I plan on arriving between 6:30pm-7pm, so if anyone is attending around then, we can check out the gym together, pick up our 2 week passes, and maybe even catch a quick drink nearby at Gonzalez Y Gonzalez :)

Our first Movie & Drink night will be Friday October 16th. We will be catching the premiere of the new movie Black Dynamite, an action/adventure/comedy, which is a throwback to the Blaxploitation films of the '70's.

Come enjoy half priced drinks from 6pm-7pm, while DJ Kaos spins the latest and we mingle and dance in our VIP section on the 2nd floor!

**Birthday Week Special from Fashion 40 Lounge: All members and guests who have a birthday the week of the Meetup (any day that week) will receive a free birthday drink ticket! Just let me know it's your birthday, and I will have the hostess take care of you, courtesy of Fashion 40!**

For those who didn't make it the last time we were there for the Holiday Events or past afterwork Meetups, Fashion 40 is a very cool lounge, laid back music in the beginning, before the DJ starts playing music to get you on your feet! The service is very good, and there is a full menu as well, in case you are hungry between conversations with the group and dancing!

Fashion 40 Food Menu

We will have the entire upstairs section of the venue for the Meetup. Just tell the doorman that you are there for the Meetup on the Black/Latino Meetup list.

And we will have at least 1 or 2 dedicated servers taking our drink orders as well, so no need to go downstairs to the bar and wait on line. Just relax and vibe with your fellow Meetup members upstairs in VIP!

Due to space restrictions, no MAYBE rsvp's are available for this Meetup.

Also, if you plan on attending, I recommend that you arrive EARLY at the start of the event. Our VIP section will fill up VERY quickly, and once we reach capacity, I cannot guarantee that you will be able to gain access to the area upstairs.

Additionally, if you RSVP YES and cannot attend, please be sure to change your RSVP by 12 noon the day of the Meetup to give another group member the chance to attend.
