The 3rd Annual NYC Vegetarian Food Festival

Good things come in threes. And a deliciously good thing is the third installment of the New York City Vegetarian Food Festival, arriving at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, March 2-3.

We're talking free samples of raw-mantic foods, vegan ice cream, Indian delicacies, hemp-based foods, vegan jerky, vegan shakes, seitan creations, teas, TVP marvels, peanut butters, vegan cupcakes and dark chocolate, to name a few of our drool-inducers. And we’ll also feature top-shelf vegan authors, kick-boxing, yoga demos, puppet shows for the younger set, burlesque music, miles of cruelty-free merchandise to snag, raffles, health-conscious pep talks, cooking programs….

Last year, 6000 revelers lined up on the sidewalk, surged through the doors, and happily thronged the Festival. Prepare to join the crowd this year, because the third time's the charm!

Time: 10AM-5PM both days
Advance VIP Tickets: https://nycvegfoodfest.chirrpy.com/
General Admission (available at the door only): just $5

Wonderful vendors, food samples and speakers. Got there about 10:15 AM and was in about 10:30 AM. Great to see a program for children. Especially liked the DF Mavens ice cream debut.

Answer to Demetrius. I went on Saturday with a VIP ticket. Think the chocolate DF Mavens was fantastic. See that the company will have a sugar-free chocolate as well, Woman at the counter said they should have a store open in NYC by Summer 2013 or sooner.

I would love fresh berries on the chocolate for a summer evening meal :)

I only went Saturday and got there about 10:30am and waited maybe 10 minutes for entrance on the VIP line. I liked the great deal on Nutiva coconut oil big bottles... $15 for a 54oz. I was all the over that! The absulte best drink I had was Raaw... Sooooo god. I OMG! This was my first time going.... I would definitely go again. The only downside is a lot of vendors were cash only :-(

Some people were using the square. But it didn't always work well. The girl behind me in the Lizz-monade line got a free beverage b/c the credit card square thingy wasn't working. Some people have all the luck :)

Had a lovely time on Saturday. Great vendors and speakers. Loved Big Fat Vegan Radio's live podcast (they sang Happy Birthday to my kitty) Nice to see some of the "regular" vendors and seeing some new ones!

I only went on Saturday. I got there at 10 am and took only like 10-15 min to get in. We had VIP tickets. The sun was shining down so actually a pretty beautiful day. Went to 3 talks and my fave was fully raw Kristina. Once they let general admission in , yes it did get crowded. Good experience overall. Kinda wish I had bought tickets for both days bc hubby and I wanted to see more talks :) we had a great day !

Good but had to wait a half hour to enter, even with VIP pass and arriving at 10am. Uncomfortably crowded by 1pm.

Do you think we still have to wait on line if we already have tickets?

I tried to attend the first year with negative results. Does anyone know how the 2nd year went? I'm happy it has been a huge success however waiting over a hour to get in is not something I want to experience.

I thought this deal to the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival might be of interest to everyone who hasn't purchased tickets yet!
