Great event working with other volunteers from the NYC Audobon Society to clean-up and collect data.

3 of us found 190+ cigarette butts, 160++ pieces of glass bottles (on this beach where glass bottles are prohibited), an 8 ft long piece of 2 by 4 wood with 6 rusty nails in it, etc.

    As they say:

When it RAINs, you don't go to the BEACH
Your LITTER does [go to the BEACH]

This was a wonderful event. To have the opportunity to clean this beach in my backyard. I love it. I met some very nice people. Brighton Beach is so beautiful. I can't wait to do this event next year!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
