Introduction

Hi My name is Laura and I am the organizer of the New York City Volunteering Meetup Group. I do alot of environmental events. I look forward to working with you guys with different projects.

What kind of environment group activities would you like to do?

I love cleaning parks and beaches. It is so much fun.

What environmental issues are you most concerned with?

The Hudson River and the Hudson Valley area are a big concerned for me because that where our water comes from. I am afraid that big business are going to hurt the water supply from upstate new york if they are not careful about it.

What triggered your interest/passion in the environment?

I have been cleaning the environment since I was in Elementary School. My first project was building a community garden near my hometown of Valley Stream, NY. It was so much fun that I continue to do these type of projects.
