We have a couple of Fixed Income Risk Quant positions in my department. (Cap Markets Risk & Modeling, one of the GSE's) Brief details:

    Location is in Washington DC.
Must have pricing, cash flow modeling and some prepayment modeling experience for MBS, CMO's & whole loans( both agency and
    PLS)
Very good knowledge of modeling interest rate derivatives, non callable and callable bonds. Good Knowledge of term structure modeling, option pricing and duration hedging. Must know Fixed Income risk metrics very well. Excel, sql, intex- must, SAS will be helpful. If anyone is interested get in touch with me. If you are qualified I can refer you.

The other thing I need to understand is that right now we've got the minimum (more than 25+) however how many will actually make it out. I can book an event but I would need to have everyone's word that they will make it to such an event. We can have a networking event first and then maybe make it to a talk.

That would be great as well. Only issue is which venue and who will present? I am happy to 'rally the troops' and do some organizing and paying the meetup fees but I need more group involvement to make it happen. Mail me if you'd like to help.

Would love to participate. Currently in a good spot, though you always need to be aware of outs. :)

If this event happens in the 1st or 2nd week of November I'm in!
I'll soon be joining the ranks of job seekers in NY area, so I am sure it'll be a great opportunity to meet other professionals and recruiters.

Renard I agree. Even if we are currently happily employed it's *always* a great idea to be in touch with a quality recruiter and keep abreast of the marketplace.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays work best for me, but I'd do this event any night, so I'll remain flexible. We shouldn't let this opp get away from us.

Once time and date is set I will create seperate invite. All who RSVP yes on that 2nd invite must show to keep their spot in the group

Need to have at least 25+ RSVP YES to proceed. Only those seriously committed to making room in their schedule on a given weeknight 6:30pm RSVP please.
Likely will have anywhere from 2-5 recruiting firms present

In order to make this happen we need to round up quite a few members. Please start asking around and gaining interest.
