The NYC Political Activists for Ron Paul 2012 Meetup will center on activities and events to help Ron Paul win NYC's Republican Presidential Primary.  

Why Ron Paul?

For 30 years, Ron Paul's approach to republican democracy has been consistent, principled and rooted in the U.S. Constitution.  He has worked to understand and honor the supreme law of the land and the freedoms it protects for all citizens.  He was true to his oath to uphold the Constitution even when doing so was unpopular with his own Party.  

Ron Paul's speeches, votes, books and articles demonstrate his commitment to individual liberty, a non-interventionist foreign policy, sound monetary policy, free market capitalism and Constitutional government.  His prescient warnings about the dangers of rejecting Constitutional policies can be seen in some of the following speeches/videos -- 

• warned against inflating the Housing bubble and the catastrophic burst that would result (2003)
•  advised Congress against voting for Iraq War Resolution and preemptive war policy (2002)
• warned Fed Chairman about dangers of artificially inflating markets (2007)  
• voted against passage of the Patriot Act (2002)
• encouraged Congress to uphold liberty & Fourth Amendment during airport checks

NY State will be holding its Presidential Primary on April 24, 2011.  (This should not be confused with the local September 13th primaries.)  

NY State has closed primaries, therefore, in order to vote in the Republican Primary you must be a registered member of the Republican Party.   You can check your voter registration HERE .

If you are not a registered Republican, we encourage all independents, libertarians and conservatives to change their party registration long-before the October 14, 2011 NY State deadline to vote Ron Paul.  

You can change your registration by printing this form and mailing it to your County Election Board listed on the form BEFORE October 14, 2011. 

NOTE: THERE IS NO DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

Barack Obama is the Democratic Party's nominee.  Therefore, we encourage all Democrats to change their registration to Republican and vote for Ron Paul.  This will not affect your ability to vote in November's General Elections.

New registration: must be postmarked by March 30, 2012 AND the BOE must receive it by April 5, 2012 
Notify BOE of Address Change: March 30, 2012
