AMC Hike Code 3C: Fun hike for those who want a workout while learning about our forests. Beavers, boardwalks, farm fields, forests, swamps, meadows and a nuclear lake. Hiking at a brisk pace, we'll make stops to talk about the trees, including NYS’s Champion White Oak. (The hikes are rated in terms of pace and terrain difficulty. Take 7:47am Metro-North Harlem Line train to Appalachian Trail Stop, arriving 9:44am. Meet at parking lot between the rail stop and Route 22. Rain cancels.
