What to bring: Sturdy hiking shoes, comfortable clothes, Lunch and snacks, 3 liters of water und Gute Stimmung.

Saturday, October 20, We will meet in the small shopping plaza parking lot right behind the Skyline Diner at Skyline Lake Drive & Ringwood Avenue, Ringwood, NJ 07456 parking lot at 10:45am. The Entrance is from Skyline Lake Drive. If you're running late or stuck on the bus, please call.

Excellent hike for those who want a good workout while enjoying nature and learning about forests. Hiking at a brisk pace, we'll make stops to enjoy tall tuliptrees and picturesque pitch pines. Stream crossings, a waterfall, three climbs, fabulous views and local UFOs.

- Meeting Time/Place: 10:45am at the parking lot in the small shopping plaza behind the Skyline Diner. Three mile car shuttle to trailhead.

- Driving Directions: Mapquest "Skyline Lake Drive & Ringwood Avenue, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
By GPS: 16 Rindgwood Ave Ringwood, NJ 

- Public Transportation: Take 9:30am New Jersey Transit bus #197, arriving at Skyline Lake Drive/Ringwood Avenue at about 10:45am. DO NOT LET THE BUS DRIVER CONVINCE YOU TO GO TO THE SKYLINE DRIVE PARK AND RIDE LOT (which is 2 miles beyond the meeting point) The bus stops in front of the Delta gas station on the corner. The Rindwood Diner & Pancake House will be ahead of you on the right.

    Hi, I would love to join you. But I have not some hiking shoes with me in NYC.
    Could someone please give me an advise which hiking shoes are good and where to buy?

    Maybe I can handle it till Saturady. Otherwise I hope to join you the next time...
