1) ACCESS: Work with telecoms to incentivize lower cost, higher speed offerings in disadvantaged communities. Strengthen the WiFi deployed in parks and create more indoor free public WiFi spaces. 2) EDUCATION: Expand the CS curriculum such as that of the Academy for Software Engineering to existing schools serving disadvantaged communities. 3) OPEN GOVERNMENT: Facilitate the creation of apps that track city council representatives' bills and votes. Host a health-related hackathon. 4) ENGAGEMENT: Partner with community-based organizations to promote the city's social media profiles. Consider social media accounts in more languages to reach New Yorkers for whom English is not the first language. Use online interface to allow citizens to vote for their relative priorities. 5) INDUSTRY: Create more incubators and other support structures to encourage entrepreneurialism. Improve Digital Jobs Map to better display and sort through opportunities.
