Tell us about your connection to the New York City Music Industry. Are you a promoter? Producer? Club owner? Tour manager? Performer?

Why music startups? (What is your connection to the industry)

As technology continues to evolve, so too does the climate of consumerism. Those that want to survive within the music industry need to be flexible and forward-thinking enough to adapt, and music startups are best equipped for this. I am curious to see what is at this forefront.

Are you working on a music startup? (If yes, briefly explain)

Currently, music management, but I am interested in transitioning more toward music rights and entertainment marketing.

My name is Brian Shoicket, and my intro to the music industry came with an indie label that I started in high school. I have since worked within the fields of music management, performing rights, tour coordination, and promotion.
