I am Gary Nickerson and responsible for online communications for the Sierra Club's NYC Group.
I have worked for nonprofits in different capacities for most of my life. I was a programmer and then an economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, worked as a Program Officer for the Twentieth Century Fund (now the Century Fund) where I managed the process of designing and installing its f as a Senior Research Analyst and Computer Systems Adviser for the NYC Criminal Justice Agency. I began part-time consulting for nonprofits, installing and supporting computer systems in the mid-80's and did this though the early 2000's. I am semi-retired and donate my time to the Sierra Club in New York. I am also working with other non-profits on developing or supporting their online efforts.
I have developed websites for 3 non-profits and a Facebook page and twitter freed for one.
