Bar 82 has a nice but little known Open Mic run by Wayne. Signups are at 6:30 if you want to perform. The Mic starts at 7, followed by a special performance by East Village Icon Joe Yoga at 9. Should be a good show.

BTW, I haven't gotten any cell #'s. I will not have a sign or anything. That's the only way that I will be able to contact you.
(or a cover, routine, performance, etc...)
I must be missing something here. What would you play besides your own songs? I'm pretty sure there's an amp and monitors. I think there's even a sound board.
Im sorry but I am still not clear on whether there is a song list or can we chose a song to sing with an instrumental CD.thank you

Joe Yoga is doing a 45 minute set at 9, so its worth coming to. But its just him after 9.
Basic Rules for Open Mics:
You either have around 7 minutes or 2 songs, depending on the particular Mic.
Don't assume that any particular equipment or backup will be available. But people will usually try to help if you ask in advance.
You sign up generally 30 minutes in advance and get a slot. If you miss it, you may lose it depending on the host. The host is in charge.
There may be anyone from amateurs to professionals at the Mic. Always be supportive, even if they suck.
Can we sing any song or is there a list to chose from?
