NY-AHG Monthly Meeting

  • Nov 13, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Learning how to work with Nature to take care of our bodies is an essential part of living a self-reliant, but gratefully interconnected, life. This is why a small group of herbalists, permaculturists, and beekeepers gathered together this summer to promote methods of natural self-healing through the creation of the New York Chapter of the American Herbalists Guild.

This month's meeting will feature of talk by NY-AHG Chapter President, Dr. Patrick Fratellone, RH, on digestive health. Here's a short video by Dr. Fratellone on the benefits of dandelion leaves.

Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month. All are invited to attend! Please email Richard Mandelbaum, RH, to be added to the email list for meeting notes and monthly reminders. [masked]

We will be meeting upstairs at his office: Fratellone Medical Associates on 57th St. between 5th and 6th Avenues.

About the NY-AHG:

The long awaited New York City chapter has finally arrived. Our chapter includes all five boroughs:  Queens, Staten Island, Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. We feel there are more herbalists practicing in the city than you know. This is your chance to be part of the Big Apple Grassroots Herbal movement.  Any persons using herbs, regardless of health care discipline, are invited to attend the meetings.  We welcome those who want to learn, and are new to learning, about herbs as well.  Our group consists of esteemed AHG professional members, and some new budding 'dandelions'.  The Chapter's mission is promote wellness using herbal therapies throughout the city by educating, teaching and sponsoring events to local communities.  We also will raise money for these events.  We intend to grow exponentially to be the largest chapter within the AHG.  We meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at one of two locations: Fratellone Medical Associates at 47 West 57th Street, 5th Floor, and at the new herbal school Arborvitae at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, 80 8th Ave.

I might be a few minutes late getting there this time, but don't worry: everyone's really welcoming! I look forward to seeing you all there!
