For World Water Day 2014 an EM-1 Mud Ball workshop and biology test. Come get dirty soft hands while rolling up mud balls that contain beneficial microorganisms. Learn how they help our health, water, air and soil. Mudballs are baseball-sized dirt balls we make from dirt, water, leaves or wheat bran and EM-1, a microbial soil conditioner. Learn how EM-1 can help our waterways and how you can get involved. For more Greening Libraries events visit: http://greening.queenslibrary.org.
A few of these mud balls will be used for a controlled test with the Dutch Kill water in April. Then mark your calendars again because, if possible to transport them, we will bring the test jars for observation Sunday 6/1 to The Beneficial Mud Ball Beneficial Ball bioremediation celebration at El Jardin Gardin on 5th St/Ave C. 3-7 pm.
