This fun fest is the garden’s main fundraising event and, as usual, is a neighborhood highlight. Great plants are offered at bargain basement prices, including lots of veggies, herbs and divisions of special plants from the garden itself…so you know they are rock-hardy in our area. There’ll be music and home-made snacks and drinks and a pot-luck meal starting at 3pm. (Visitors are asked to bring food to share at the pot luck.)

Compost Info - we’re happy to answer any questions you have about composting.

Starting in 1988, when a handful of determined neighbors began to clean up a garbage-strewn abandoned lot, 6/15 Green has blossomed into a thriving community haven with over 100 active members and thousands of visitors each year. The garden serves the community by hosting education and cultural events, including a unique solar-power project that drives our pond’s waterfall and arbor’s lighting and by running an intense composting program. Above all, the garden provides an opportunity to grow veggies and flowers or relax in this lush green oasis amid the hubbub of our busy urban life.

6/15 Green is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. All sales and donations go directly to the support of this permanent open space community garden. 6/15 Green is a proud founding member of BANG! - Brooklyn Alliance of Neighborhood Gardens Land Trust. Donations are tax-deductible. Find out more about us at our website: www.615green.org
