The Beneficial Mud Ball Beneficial Ball: Workshop/party East Village

A Masters Of Succession Beneficial Mud Ball Bioremediation Project.

This is a beneficial workshop/party.

Come get your ball-gowns muddy* and dance with dirty friends to "Harry Connik Jr" and New Orleans tunes, eat oysters. The City of Dreams is another place where bioremediation with EM-1 is crucial. (*You wont get muddy -- unless it rains)

SPECIAL GUESTS: Paul Mankiewicz, PhD of Gaia Institute NY who designed the bioremediation of the garden, Shig Matsukawa of Good Microbes who teaches about EM-1.

We want to make 700 mud balls.

We aim for 1000 beneficial mud balls for June 9th Figment Festival "Stockpile of Mud Balls" throw on June 9!  Figment attracts over 10 thousand ppl. Beneficial Mud Balls are to clean the waterways and contain effective microbes: emrojapan.com. In Panang they called their throwing "one million apologies for mother earth".

We will end with a glorious sunset New Orleans procession to dump our oyster shells into the East River for restoration of live oysters -- which filter the water. If it is dark we will teach you the fracktail called the "flaming frack".

FREEEEE!

BUT Contribution suggested: $10. Hat for a $10 contribution. We are not able to sustain on going events otherwise.

Email dd if you can volunteer.

Besides that we are raising money to cover costs. Beer and wine available for donation. We have EM-1 gifts for $5 - $15 from which to choose.

We are asking for a contribution to cover the cost of the soil, solution and materials. If you can't spend the $10 come anyway. Bring a dish to share and help us however you can. It is an educational mud ball/oyster eating bioremediation City of Dreams party. We look forward to seeing you!

Sounds like you would like this workshop where we answer these questions. I have an answer for you but because I do not want to make a mistake I ask you to come and talk to the biologist and educator of the bokashi system Sunday. It is a rare opportunity to have Shig and Paul together.

HI Elliot, I just got Keat's post on my phone. I didn't get yours though sorry. First time seeing this. The microbes are in a solution that is safe to handle. Food based yeast, 4 bacillus, and phototrophic. More on ingredients at goodmicrobes.org, emrojapan.com, taraganix.com etc. the dry soil from a bag will be mixed in a basin -- pouring the right ratio into the basin. Adding water if it needs it. They are set aside to dry for 2 weeks, then we will throw the fermented balls.

OK, this sounds interesting, but can someone clarify so I'm sure I understand it. 1. Is this an event where we will be pressing bio remedial microbes into mud balls that will then be used to clean up pollution? 2. If so where will the mud balls be used and what type of pollutants will the microbes remedy? 3. Do we need dress to handle mud? 4. Also confused by the meet up fee. Is the event free? Or do you expect people to pay $10? 5. Or is this just an educational event?
