How did you become interested in permaculture?

I think that when we look for connections in life, ways to understand the world, we eventually arrive at permaculture thinking. For me the discovery of the design philosophy was a big AAHHH moment, filling me with relief and wonder. It is not the ideas that were new to me (composting, keeping chickens, saving the rainwater from your roof) but the way that it organized these into a story, connected with a lineage, and inspired true curiosity about the world!

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

I took my course with Andrew Faust of the Permaculture Center for BioRegional Living in Spring 2013.
