How did you become interested in permaculture?

If time permits, I have plunged into "foodie" meetups like SAVE farms, NYC farms, beekeeping, and eco-friendly building. Please keep me posted!

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

A friend has a front yard he was told he could use, but he didn't trust what I told him about permaculture (he had a book on horticulture) so nothing grew last summer but some sunflowers seeds of which he was feeding to local birds!

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.:

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

I like to think of schools (colleges as well as elementary schools), banks (Cathay Bank and others have foundations), and dislocated members of the community (Seniors, veterans, parolees and formerly incarcerated folks, and the disabled) coming together to make food, herbs, and a meaningful network grow!

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

not yet.

I am coming to terms with my relationship with plants. I look forward to this meetup!

What Jeannette is saying about this Meetup Group

Terrific, this truly progressive movement cuts across political and racial barriers in seeking out and devising solutions for crises.
