How did you become interested in permaculture?

I learned of Permaculture thru friends while living in Santa Fe.

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

I am currently watching the online permaculture lectures given by Larry Korn on the Regenerative Institute site.

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.:

For the first time I am living in the density of Manhattan. This is temporary. I am choosing this time to study and plan. I have just started working with a friend who has a 7 acre apple orchard in NM to redesign it as a permaculture site

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

Gaia's Garden, Fukuoka's Straw Revolution

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

I have a small terrace and look across my courtyard at many other empty terraces and rooftops. I imagine them all filled with herbs and veggies and birds and we share what we grow.

Hi, I am currently a student at NYBG in the Landscape Design program. I moved to NYC 3 yrs ago from Santa Fe NM and prior to that I lived in Los Angeles for many years. I have always had organic gardens where I have lived.
