How did you become interested in permaculture?

TED talks lead me to reversing deserts, lead me to food forestry, lead me to Geoff Lawton lead me to Bill Mollison.

No course experience

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permaculture)

As a backpacker I apply leaving no trace. As a musician I apply building harmonious systems. As an engineer I apply minimalist design.

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

Jeff Lawton. Bill Mollison. Permies.org. Paul Wheaton. Ron Finley. Alex Grey and CoSM. Ewoks.

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

Merging earthship design with reclaiming abandoned industrial buildings. Rooftop food forestry.

Introduction

I'm an engineer and musician. I want to live like Swiss Family Robinson with Google fiber. I dream of living in the woods by the sea and building flying machines.
