How did you become interested in permaculture?

I first became interested via healthy eating and wanting a lifestyle without lots of headaches. Permaculture was the perfect combination. I started my forest garden in 2008 in Minnesota, and it is now really taking off. I think promoting and practicing permaculture is the most important and sacred thing we can be doing.

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

I was certified last year at Whole Systems Design in Moretown Vermont - Ben Falk and Jenny Pell were my instructors.

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.:

Planting always, and promoting permaculture and people care/earth care online constantly via videos and facebook/twitter.

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

Geoff Lawtons work, Sepp Holzer,, and all the various youtube videos.

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

I think education..getting kids into the idea of "Paradise creation" that they can take part in. Equipping people with eyes to see the beauty of green spaces, and to help them avoid the distractions and pitfalls that our modern culture creates. <3

I got into gardenening about 10 years ago via healthy doing whatever I can to help promote permaculture. I have my food forest garden in Minnesota USA. My site is Grow Paradise (m)
