How did you become interested in permaculture?

Probably not another one unless an outstanding teacher is running it. But I'm always interested in refresher classes, skill building workshops and hands on learning experiences.

If you have taken a Permaculture Design Course, who was your was your teacher and what year did you receive your certification?

I ran Cooperative Evolution: a website and mailing list that announced daily environmental events in New York City. I am now the Founder and Chairwoman of Get Dirty NYC! (see description below)

How are you currently applying the permaculture principles in your life? (Care of people and the earth, fair distribution of surplus, promotion of diversity, cooperation, integration, zero waste, etc.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permaculture)

absolutely. If I find one that fits.

What are some of your favorite permaculture resources? (Books, videos, websites, etc.)

social landscaping, restructuring consciousness, cross pollination.. For now: trying to systematically develop neighborhood communities that are as interconnected, resilient & healthy as pre-industrial villages.

What are some aspects of life in New York that you would like to see the group address from a permaculture perspective? (For example: land use patterns, the banking and healthcare systems, transportation, housing, community development, food, waste

Yes, with Ethan Roland at Camp Epworth

Introduction

I'd like to see permaculture education accessible to everyone, particularly in cities, where land access, resources, and community spirit are low.
