Hi,
I was referring to re-designing the existing way they are set-up/organized to help it flow better, not redesigning the actual physical aspects of the site. Of course it is so crowded it's hard to get around: thought they could use help decreasing the chaotic aspect of it.

Zuccotti Park is not a park with grass; it is a park with trees  on a concrete base basically.   Grey water recycling is possible because it is not big enough to capture the attention of the police around the park.

I do not think  the park could be redesigned; after all it is a park designed for urban foot traffic  maintenance.  On the other hand, the OWS  people who are occupying the park as a permanent  be in place may need ideas on how to protect themselves from the cold when tents and structures are banned bythe Police Department.  Any ideas about permaculture  housing structures  that are good design utilizing permaculture principles  would help to prolong the occupation.   And would be a great idea.  What are your ideas about that?

And, I'll be down there today dropping off some supplies, marching with

I went there to bring them info on Transition and other expansive ideas for change.I  WAs going to go to the Permie meetup but was asked to stay and share ideas at the GA.
I walked around, saw how it was going, talked w folks, stayed for their general assembly nightly meeting.
Everyone was kind, helpful, open , receptive, energetic...but also it was chaoitc and crowded and a need for reorganizing their space was mentioned. I said and thought... hmmm, we could use  permaculture design ideas to make the site work better.
They also are wanting to learn. They say they need to educate themselves about many things, have teach-ins etc.
So if any one want to go down, go. A good way to bring new ideas to the movement while it's in it's formative stage.
Thanks,
Margaret in Brooklyn
