Monthly Meetup TOMORROW!

From: Tiffany
Sent on: Monday, August 5, 2013 8:02 PM

Hi Everyone,

I know it's summer and many of you are busy working outside or enjoying your vacations, but it has been a while since we've seen some of you at the Monthly Meetup, and it would be nice to have a chance to check-in with everyone and see how you're doing with your various projects. We really want to support each other as we build up our local communities and rewire this area to be more resilient!

For this month's meeting, we'll also dedicate some time to discussing the history of heat waves, the dangers, and what we can do to cope with them. I, personally, am really curious to hear some of your thoughts regarding covering buildings in ivy and other ecologically-friendly ways to cool the city that might become urgent if the grid (or our wallets) is no longer able to keep up with the demand for air-conditioning. So, I hope to see you tomorrow at Whole Foods!

Feel free to text me if you don't find us--the amphitheater section is now closed, so we might sit closer to the Jamba Juice area.

Cheers,

Tiffany, Assistant Organizer
