Dear Group Members
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you a special lecture at The Metropolitan Museum of Art beginning Friday, November 16th at 6:00 pm.
Jeff L. Rosenheim, Curator in Charge leads this lecture, Beginnings: Photography. In the world of art, certain names conjure up iconic images, and major works have instant recognition. This series examines the first photographs by modern masters of the medium. How did the artists launch their careers? What did they do with the camera? Might the seeds of their achievement be visible in their earliest work?
