This will be a weekly event, run by a rotating group of organizers.

This can be split into several locations, and organizers can change the location up to one day prior.

Follow #NYCPythonMeetup for live event changes, and tweet here if you get lost.

We need volunteers to organize this event! Please email Gloria, Ehtesh, or Kevin offlist: strangest at comcast dot net

As usual: no recruiters, no hiring managers, no solicitation of any kind, no sign-in sheets. If anyone has problems related to this, tweet this issue using #NYCPythonMeetup on the spot.

Having a ton of sponsors who fall all over themselves to pay for our drinks and snacks is not a problem that our meetup seems to be having :) Some of us hung on until 7 PM without getting kicked out so this space is a good deal :)

If you guys have any feedback about the new space or the LPTHW format, you can direct it to the mailing list: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/nycpython-weekly

If the splinter group on Saturdays doesn't work out for some of you, you guys can find me at General Assembly from 2:30pm to 6:00pm-ish. I'm part of the Project Euler meetup here: http://www.meetup.com/Project-Euler-Study-Group-GA/

I should probably mention that all in all, with the folks from Code Crew and Hacker Hours, there was a turnout of 40-ish people. At the minimum. I can't count upper limits, after all, maybe we were running close to 50?

I'm working on material for a best practices talk, but I'll be happy to answer any questions on Python-centric Python!

i keep forgetting my password on my motorola Triumph 2.2.2 android phone for Twitter. So please at least give 36 hour business days notice before you change a location. I'm coming all the way from Englewood Hospital.

Location should not change again for a while, but there is no guarantee. We have to do whatever works in a Utilitarian way.

Hey, is anyone still attending ThinkCoffee today, regardless of the recent change? And where do all 30+ attendees really go when I just see six of you.

That would be a really good question. Either way, more people show up at AlleyNYC.

Doug, I am sorry we can't help you figure out transportation. There are commuter schedules, and more than enough info online, so I'm going to be removing these posts, to cut down on clutter, so people cam communicate about aspects of the event itself.

This and future meetups will be rescheduled to Sunday at Alley NYC. We will be coinciding with Aidan and his group from http://nyc.hackerhours.org/

last week when i showed up at THINK COFFEE their almost seemed to be a shortage of electrical outlets. Someone nearly tripped on my power cord and knocked over my laptop. It would help if the organizers or someone GET THERE EARLY and squat on some tables and electrical outlets. If anyone brings Mifi it would also help. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Mobile Hotspots & Mobile Internet: MiFi | Verizon Wireless

instead of meeting next to Google why don't we THINK GENERAL ELECTRIC.

A Saturday splinter group is fully encouraged. If enough people still want to meet Saturdays at Think Coffee, I'll create the events for it. Let me know.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
