A Pinch of Salt: Configuration Management & Automated Deployment Tools @ Google

NYC Python (@nycpython), Google (g), and SaltStack (saltstack.com) are proud to present a night of talks on "configuration management & automated deployment" on Thursday, August 7th.

Doors open at 6:30 and the talks will begin at 7:00.

SPEAKERS

Miles Ward Kubernetes

James Sweeny Puppet

Sean OMeara Chef

Ehtesh Choudhury Ansible

Joseph Hall Salt

Abstract for Joseph Hall and Miles Ward's talk:

They don't build data centers like they used to...and this is probably a good thing. Today's compute requirements need more scale, security, stability, flexibility, and open standards. Engineers from Google and SaltStack will share the latest in building and managing data center infrastructure fit for the job at hand. These talks will also share how open source automation software, like Salt and Kubernetes, and container technologies, like Docker, have exploded in popularity as essential building blocks for the new data center, going well beyond a foundation of configuration management.

@Paul yes I will! I have to be sure to get every possible hint to my audience gets the best talk from me :). I will look forward to chatting about Mongo with you.

This is going to be a HUGE event! And only a little over a week before the biggest event this year: PyGotham (http://pygotham2014.eventbrite.com)

They said we were nuts. I said: "We aren't nuts enough!"

It would be great if you could switch over to having a wait-list instead of just a notification when spots open up. Thanks!
