Saturday Tutorial: Intro to Python

Saturday Tutorials!

A number of people asked for them, and they are here! Saturday Tutorials is a reoccurring event that will take place once a month. Each month a speaker will give a tutorial (less than 3 hours long) on a subject of their choosing. Suggestions for speakers and subjects are welcome!

These tutorials will be held alongside the normal Saturday Office Hours that are held at the same venue. Because of space concerns, both the RSVP list and wait list will be strictly enforced. If you are on the RSVP list and don't show up within 15 minutes of the start time of the event (ie. by 2:15pm), we give your seat to the next person waiting.

I hope everyone had a great time. Please take inventory of your stuff and make sure you got everything.

False alarm - apparently I "hid it from myself" in my bag. . . #:-s

Paul is a great instructor and very patient with people trying to get up to speed. I learned a lot and look forward to next one!

      Two things:
      1) If you would post the link to the deck from the tutorial, that would be great.
      2) I seem to have forgotten my copy of "Japanese for Busy People". . . If someone could hold onto it for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

    What is tomorrow's topic?

Intro stuff. Writing a script running, it from the command line, maybe some object-oriented practices

These sound great! I won't be able to go, due to an ongoing commitment on Saturday afternoons. If this is an regular thing (and there is demand), I'd like to request that it either repeats on Sundays too or sometimes is at a different time. Cheers and keep up the great work!
