Big shout out to Ben Ross and the folks at Forrest Solutions for hosting the next NYC Python Meetup, including pizza and drink.
I've received requests for these topics:
(1) Integrating Python into existing live projects in other languages: ReSTful interfaces and successful language coexistence: If you've worked this type of project before, migrating away from another language toward Python on a live app/site, please prepare something and contact me to speak. Your talk can be any length up to 45 minutes.
(2) The art of refactoring old, or not-so-good Python code: If you've done this, show us some examples (don't name any names, please :)
And as usual, if you want to talk about something compelling but unrelated to (1) or (2), by all means please do!
As usual, there are no sign-in sheets for these events. Your privacy is respected and fiercely protected. Recruiters should let everyone know they are recruiters. Even though this takes place in a recruiting firm, it will be chill, and no one will demand info from you, harass you or actively recruit you.
Forrest will spend a few minutes talking about the current positions they are looking to fill, and then the geeky fun begins.
See you in September!
