Let's meetup and work on Python projects together! Project night is an informal gathering of Python developers interested in working together in small groups. Here is the list of projects so far:

* Gloria will lead a group working on an online booking system

* Dan and Andy will lead a group working on WhereToMeetup (app to connect meetup organizers and hosts)

* Your not-for-profit, Open Source idea here!

If you have any suggestions for projects, please feel free to post in the comments section.

George, thanks for the suggestion. I'm already fairly fluent in Python; it was the frameworks (web, mobile, etc.) that would be used in these two projects I was interested in.

The WhereToMeetup source is hosted on GitHub at https://github.com/NYCPython/whe... for anyone who wants to learn more about it before Project Night.

Andy, thank you for the resource. I will see if I can catch up on it before the actual meetup. :)

What programming skills and knowledge (frameworks, libraries, etc.) are necessary to take advantage of the app development or online booking tool development? Thanks.

WhereToMeetup uses Flask, so knowledge of that wouldn't hurt, but don't feel like you couldn't help if you've never used it before.

Thank you both for the help. Stay safe and sound. :)

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
