Hunter & Kmiec, a boutique plaintiffs' law firm with offices in New York
City and Los Angeles, is soliciting indications of interest for a software
development project to help our clients identify potential cases.
The goal of the project is to develop a software application for a Windows
platform that can download and analyze data publicly available through the
online "EDGAR" filing system maintained by the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission (http://www.sec.go...). The
application will be used by a layman unskilled in software development. We
expect that the application will be well documented and written in a
common high-level programming language like Python or Ruby.
We will, of course, pay you for developing the project. We will also
expect you to sign a customary confidentiality agreement. We will retain
the intellectual property, including copyrights, patents, licenses, and
We would prefer developers who:

functioning computer program to be used by lawyers;
? are in a position to provide ongoing maintenance and improvements to the
application when necessary;
? have prior contract experience; and
? have completed substantial undergraduate or graduate work in computer
science, or have the equivalent level of knowledge.
If you are interested in this project, kindly contact one of our Firm's
two partners: James Hunter (hunter at hunterkmiec dot com) or Keenan Kmiec
