We have a few new, excellent invited speakers:
James Socol: http://pygotham.o...
James Dennis: http://pygotham.o...
and a colleague of mine whom you'll find really interesting, Joe Williams:
Joe shares our love for hacking things, and for that reason is quite the
kindred spirit to dev communities. He's one of those people whom you can
sit with for hours, mouth agape, as he tells you about subversive
financing atrocities he has discovered in the world around us.
His talk will be one of the most interesting, no doubt.
We've had a change in plans re: the New to Python/New to Programming
course. There are now three of us teaching/TA-ing over the course of two
days, and we are currently putting together a lesson plan. Here's the
motley group of geeks who will be helping you:
This class will require pre-registration, so we can set you up, and help
you get the most out of it. Email [address removed] to
register for this class. Let us know your programming experience, if
any, and what you want most from this class.
Due to an excellent response in registration over the past week, and a
request from a few students to extend the time period, the current price
for registration has been extended to August 7th. If you haven't yet
registered, this is the perfect time to do so (note that even if you've
created an account, you're not registered until you pay for registration).
See you in September!
