Well, it's been a lot of fun over the last few years running NYC Python.  I remember where we started - small meetings in small spaces.  It used to be easy to remember everyone's name.  Now we're past 1200 members and growing...  This feels like the community that NYC and Python deserve.

However, it's past time for me to move on - I have less time to devote to the group than I used to and I don't see that changing soon.

So I'm very happy to announce Gloria as the next organizer of the NYC Python group!

As you know, Gloria has been organizing the last few meetings anyway and has also put together PyGotham - NYC's first python conference (see http://pygotham.org/).  She's clearly got the organizational skills and energy to make big things happen and I'm incredibly excited to see where things go next.

I'll still be around, and would love to keep in touch with all you that I've met.  Please don't hesitate to contact me for any reason.

Sincerely,
David Christian
Ex-organizer of NYC Python :)
